The Discover Luxury Management Team
Headquartered an hour outside of New York City in Darien Connecticut, Discover Luxury is the creation of two highly experienced veterans of the travel industry, albeit from very different backgrounds.
The greatest asset the two bring into play is not years of running hotels but quite the opposite – years of running between hotels as consumers of thousands of collective room-nights. This first-hand experience has bred an acute understanding of the hospitality business from the perspective of the business traveler and (occasionally) as the pampered vacationer.
As a result both recognized the need for an easy-to-navigate, well informed, hotel booking site that features only the world’s finest luxury properties.
David Tait OBE
David has worked closely with some of travels most legendary characters like Sir Freddie Laker and Sir Richard Branson and so is accustomed to raising the bar with innovative new products and exceptional service delivery. With Richard Branson, David helped craft the category-busting business plan for Virgin Atlantic Airways. He then became the airline’s first employee and spent almost 20 years as a board member as well as running North America and Asia. Along the way he helped build the upstart into a critically acclaimed and consistently profitable global carrier with over $4 billion in annual revenues.
Robert Ingraham
Rob has more than 20 years of experience creating and operating profitable and highly successful media businesses across several categories with top publishers and event organizations like Reed Business Publishing, The McGraw Hill Companies, Advanstar Communications, and Questex Media Group. While at Questex he ran the Travel Group which included Travel Agent Magazine, Luxury Travel Adviser, Premiere Hotels and Resorts Directory and the Luxury Travel Expo in Las Vegas.
Gregor Gomory
A consummate storyteller with almost twenty years of experience in the travel industry, Gregor has developed product, brand and content strategies for a wide variety of innovative companies at the forefront of the luxury, experiential and sustainable travel niches including Absolute Travel, Airtreks and Global Basecamps. His focus on understanding and predicting emerging trends in hospitality while building consumer loyalty through innovative content stems from countless hotel nights in countless far-flung destinations researching the user-experience firsthand.

Scott Pierce
Scott served as Chief Operating Officer of the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. This membership based organization delivers education, training and professional certification to hospitality schools and travel professionals worldwide. Mr. Pierce has held a variety of senior management positions in the media, sports and association industries for such organizations as Nielsen, Reid Elsevier, Hearst and Miller-Freeman.
William Littlefield
William Littlefield has held EVP & General Manager positions for some of the world’s best known Consumer Products and has worked in multiple categories including Food, Homecare and Personal Care products. He has extensive experience in start-up, turnaround and M&A environments, and has worked closely with a wide range of Boards and Private Equity sponsors.
